New Mazda 2-Seater: Mazda2 Based Roadster

Japanese Mazda is planning a new two-seater roadster that would be based on the underpinnings of the current generation Mazda2.



The proposed two-seater is said to use the same engine range as the Mazda2, including European configurations: 1.3- and 1.5-liter gasoline units and 1.4- and 1.6-liter diesel ones.

Roadster will be competing in Europe against the likes of the forthcoming Renault Twingo CC, the Opel Tigra and the Peugeot 207 CC.
